Consignment
Terms & Conditions

We’re excited you’re considering consigning your décor with The After Party! Below is a quick overview of how our process works. By submitting your items for review, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Full details are available in our Consignment Agreement, which must be signed before we accept any items.

Commission Rates

  • Standard Items: 60% of the final sale price goes to you, 40% to The After Party.

  • High-Labor or Oversized Items (arches, backdrops, large furniture, bulk lots): 50% to you, 50% to The After Party.

Fees

  • Transaction Fee: A flat 3.5% fee is deducted from the final sale price before commission. This covers payment handling, sales administration, and processing — regardless of the buyer’s payment method.

  • Delivery Fee: Only applies in rare cases when a buyer requests delivery and you agree in advance.

  • Cleaning/Repair Fee: If your item requires cleaning, repair, or restoration before sale, we’ll discuss the cost with you first.

Consignment Period

  • Items are listed for 120 days from the date they go live for sale.

  • If unsold at the end of that time, you can:

    1. Pick up your items within 14 days,

    2. Authorize donation to a charitable cause or couple in need, or

    3. Approve clearance pricing.

  • If you don’t arrange pickup within 14 days, ownership transfers to The After Party, and we may sell, donate, or dispose of the items at our discretion.

Pricing

We determine all final pricing based on market value, demand, and condition. You’re welcome to share your original purchase price and what you’d like to receive, but final prices are set by The After Party.
 

Payments

  • Payouts are issued monthly for items sold in the previous month.

  • Payments are made via PayPal or Venmo, with a detailed sales statement included.

Liability

We take great care of your items, but The After Party is not responsible for loss or damage due to theft, fire, flood, or other events beyond our control. You’re welcome to maintain your own insurance coverage for consigned items.

Marketing

We may photograph, display, and promote your items in-store, online, and on social media to help them sell.
